We need your help to get Ranked Choice Voting

Better Ballot Sacramento will be collecting petition signatures at the Tahoe Park a community event put on by Councilmember Eric Guerra, County Supervisor Phil Serna, Tahoe Park Neighborhood Association, and other community members.
About This Event
Local events like this bring out the neighbors who are engaged with their community and keeping track of what's going on in their city, and those are exactly the folks most likely to sign a petition for fairer elections. Help us gather signatures during the event, and grab a tasty bite to eat; or buy a drink and meet your Tahoe Park Neighbors!
What To Expect
Arrive by 4:30 PM at Tahoe Park, on the basketball court, for a quick volunteer huddle and brief training for signature gathering. We'll walk you through a simple script, hand you a clipboard and FAQ sheet, and get you set up to chat with our neighbors. No experience needed — the script takes five minutes to learn and you'll be paired with an experienced volunteer. We provide clipboards, petition sheets, a pen, and our literature. You just bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. We’re planning to be out actively canvassing from 5:00 PM. If you are only able to arrive after 5:00 PM, then one of our organizers will provide you with a brief training on canvassing.
Why It Matters
We're building toward one goal: a Ranked Choice Voting measure on the November 2028 ballot. Every signature gets us closer. RCV means majority winners, one higher-turnout election, and 100,000 more Sacramento voters having a say. Event canvassing gives us a unique opportunity to meet folks outside where they are already in a social mood and engaged in their community.
