We need your help to get Ranked Choice Voting
This weekend we are walking door-to-door to talk to our neighbors where they are about RCV, gather their signature, and recruit more folks to volunteer with us!
About This Event
Better Ballot Sacramento is hitting the streets of Curtis Park! This Saturday June 20th from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, we are knocking door in the Curtis Park neighborhood with Indivisible Sacramento. We are starting with a brief gathering at Café Dantorels to conduct a short training on efficiency and courteous canvassing before breaking off into singles and pairs to talk to our neighbors about Ranked Choice Voting!
What To Expect
Arrive by 9:30 AM at Café Dantorels, 2700 24th St, for a quick volunteer huddle and introduction to door-to-door training. We'll walk you through a simple script, hand you a clipboard and FAQ sheet, and get you set up with some turf to walk. No experience needed — the script takes five minutes to learn and you'll be paired with an experienced volunteer. We provide clipboards, petition sheets, pens, water, and snacks. You just bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. We’re planning to be out actively canvassing from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If you are only able to arrive later than 10:00 AM, then our Community Organizer, Calem, will provide you with a brief training on canvassing.
Why It Matters
We're building toward one goal: a Ranked Choice Voting measure on the November 2028 ballot. Every signature gets us closer. RCV means majority winners, one higher-turnout election, and 100,000 more Sacramento voters having a say. Door knocking gives us a unique opportunity to meet folks where they are and talk to them where they are most comfortable.
